The fifth Silk City Fest is a FREE event for live music, local art vendors, interactive activities, games, food trucks, and lots of beer and cider from local breweries! We will be located in downtown Manchester, CT, on Purnell Place (follow the signs for the Orange Lot; the fest’s approximate address for GPS directions is 12 Purnell Place, Manchester, CT 06040) There will be plenty of free parking in the nearby lots, as well as on Main Street and various side streets.
LIVE MUSIC
Silk City Fest brings you eleven local bands and performers playing original music all afternoon and evening! There's something for everyone—folk, funk, indie rock, alt-rock, ska, and world percussion. Bring a lawn chair and spend the day with us!
CRAFT BREWS
Enjoy craft beer and cider from 10 local brewers. The drinks start flowing at 2:00, but if you'd like to get a jump on that, consider our SCF BREW EXPERIENCE.
ARTISTS
Visit our vendor village for your fix of fine art and handmade goods including soaps, candles, jewelry, fine wood craft, and all sorts of other fun stuff from dozens of artists and makers.
FOOD
Hungry? We've got local food trucks to fuel your fest-ing! Barbecue, Brazilian street food, hot dogs, gourmet pretzels, kettle corn, and more. Let's not forget cheesecake and ice cream!
BREW EXPERIENCE
Full pours start at 2 PM, but with so many choices, maybe you'd like to responsibly try several? INTRODUCING THE SCF BREW EXPERIENCE! Enjoy a package that includes a commemorative SCF 2022 drinking vessel, 10 samples of your choice, a 1 PM start time, and a $3 discount on a pretty righteous festival T! Tickets are limited. Don't hesitate.
INTERACTIVE ART
Are you an artist? You are when you get involved in our interactive art project. Our festival community mural is for artists of all skill levels. It's like karaoke with a paintbrush!
WORK_SPACE
Check out our neighbor at the WORK_SPACE gallery on Main Street. We're partnering with them for some special Silk City Fest kids' activities.
COCKTAIL SESSION
We've got a great selection of summertime draft cocktails to delight your taste buds! Our Special Cocktail Session starts at 6 PM and ends at last call.
