Amandla Band

Originally formed in 2004 through a collaboration between singer/songwriter/musicians Burnie T (Dominica) and Kali Wale (Connecticut), Amandla Band represents the very best in modern roots reggae music. In 2011, Amandla joined forces with internationally acclaimed reggae artist Ras Iba (St. Croix) to form a powerhouse trinity. With a unique sound and style harkening back to the days of Dennis Brown and Bob Marley and the Wailers, inspired by the musical prowess of Steel Pulse and Aswad, and continuing into the present day world-wide reggae diaspora, Amandla Band has delighted crowds up and down the East Coast and Northern California.

Hands on Drumming

Craig Norton started “Hands on Drumming” in 1998, offering community drums circles in schools, libraries, hospitals and community events throughout the Northeast US. Craig has had the opportunity to play for hundreds of thousands of people of all ages. Hands on Drumming now specializes in participatory drumming in schools, corporate retreats, wellness programs and community events.
Craig also plays percussion in a variety of bands including Cosmic Hue and Bodhi Groove. From April to September he leads the Circle in The Square Drummers in Blue Back Square, West Hartford. He has studied or played with Babatunde Olatunji, Mickey Hart, Andelique Kidjo, Glenn Valez, Arthur Hull among others and performed for a ceremony honoring Bishop Desmond Tutu.

Olive Tiger

Olive Tiger is an evolution of sound and texture:  a nontraditional quartet hailing from New England that lushly combines electronics with organic elements of chamber-pop, defying the boundaries of genre in favor of obsessive exploration. Grounded in the stunning songwriting and soaring voice of its bandleader, Olive Tiger arcs continuously toward more meticulous, more rich and more seductive arrangements.

Pat Stone & The Dirty Boots

Pat Stone & The Dirty Boots began as a one man show in 2014. Over the course of a year and a half, and with the help of many talented friends, the bands debut full length album, “Patterns In The Rain” was transformed from a one man show into a full blown folk-punk orchestra. Shortly after the release of the full length, Stone and the other two core members (Andrew Wyton – Bass, Nick Cannato – Drums) moved in together to a house in rustic Oxford, Connecticut. The band has been hard at work on their sophomore album, set to release in 2017.
Pat Stone & The Dirty Boots has been bringing their unique blend of modern, energetic folk-punk with a dash of old school bluegrass to a variety of bars, theaters, basements and living rooms for the past 3 years.

Rhythmic Circus

Original tunes from various genres including but not limited to:Rock, funk, soul, R…&B, Hip Hop, gypsy reggae, blues, bluegrass and the occasional Pop classsic. If you like to dance and are into conscience uplifting music, well… Run away with the Rhythmic Circus!

BEER TENT:

At Firefly Brewing, our mission is to express our collective pursuit of happiness through our shared passion for beer. We are a conglomerate of creative minds who believe we can make the world a better place by providing an atmosphere and a product conducive to creative expression. It is our sincerest hope that the beer we create helps you further your own creative journey and propels you down your own road to happiness. Our slogan, “Get Lit” is a testament to spreading our inspiration, because it takes more than one firefly to enlighten the world.

“Life is about expression…Somehow allowing others to experience a piece of yourself through your craft: For a musician it’s their sound; a photographer, their perspective; an artist, their design. For us, it’s both a flavor and a lifestyle.”
